Se asoman los primeros rayos de sol y uno solo piensa en disfrutar de la naturaleza: el mar, la suave arena y el calor del sol. Formentera es una isla de mar mediterráneo con aguas cálidas y paisajes caribeños perfectos para una experiencia tranquila e inolvidable.
Además de ser un ambiente sumamente relajante y un spa natural con una de las vistas más hermosas del planeta, las playas de Formentera cuentan con una amplísima oferta nocturna, gastronómica y cultural. Todo lo que necesitas para disfrutar plenamente de esas vacaciones que tanto mereces.
Pero es que ahora sus playas, y concretamente SES ILLETES ha obtenido el reconocimiento mundial que merece. De los miles de millones de playas que hay en el mundo –y más incluso –, esta playa de Formentera es la quinta… un puesto por delante al alcanzado el año pasado.
Hace casi un año ya dedicamos una entrada a abordar uno de los grandes atractivos de la isla, nuestras calas y playas. Sin embargo, y a raíz de esta noticia, hemos querido profundizar en el tema ampliando las sugerencias y seleccionando las 10 mejores playas de Formentera para que cuando vengáis vayáis con una hoja de ruta diseñada.
Un paraíso terrenal rodeado de vívidos colores turquesa. Es una pequeña playa con mar de poca profundidad a ambos lados. Es la playa más concurrida de Formentera, y cuenta con una amplia oferta gastronómica, posadas, tours y chiringuitos.
Situada en el punto más al norte de la isla, a escasos 150 metros de Espalmador, es de las playas de Formentera la más visitada por los turistas. Entre sus particularidades, destacan sus aguas tan cristalinas y transparentes que te trasladan al paraíso, y que solo es accesible a pie debido a la irregularidad del terreno. También se puede acceder a través del mar, existiendo un servicio de trayectos marítimos que comunica la zona con el puerto de La Sabina y con la isla de Espalmador.

Una playa de Formentera de aspecto caribeño también, en una zona virgen y casi completamente natural, repleta de diversa fauna y flora, de arena blanca y suave y mar de poca profundidad. Se encuentra en la isla de Espalmador, a unos 200 metros de Formentera.
Si te gustan las largas caminatas, el ejercicio y los paseos con hermosos paisajes puedes llegar caminando y nadando un corto trecho. Si deseas llegar rápidamente a la playa para echarte al sol y disfrutar de los sonidos del mar, puedes elegir algunas de las excursiones en catamarán que se organizan en la costa, por ejemplo desde el puerto de La Savina.

Un paisaje diferente: pequeño, rocoso, desértico, de suave arena, aguas cristalinas y poco profundas. Su pequeño tamaño la hace ideal para quienes desean disfrutar de un ambiente relajante y acogedor. Está ubicado a diez kilómetros de Sant Francesc Xavier y en sus cercanías cuenta con un lujoso complejo hotelero/ urbanización.

Playa Es Ram
Un paisaje rocoso similar al de Cala des Morts, pero mucho menos conocido y por lo tanto más íntimo y solitario. La arena es blanca y suave y el mar es cálido, poco profundo y lleno de algas según la temporada. La ruta más común es cruzando a través de Playa de Migjorn.

Un paisaje disfrutable desde las alturas. Esta playa no tiene arena como las demás, pero las rocas de diferentes alturas la hacen el sitio ideal para zambullirse y divertirse en el mar. La zona de baño está bajo un acantilado, y se le puede llegar cómodamente con una escalera natural.

Una playa de extenso arenal de suave arena, de mar cálido y de poca profundidad. Es una de las más conocidas playas de Formentera. En ella puede disfrutar de unos amaneceres y atardeceres simplemente espectaculares. Tiene una zona de bosque, ideal para una agradable caminata después de la comida o el baño. Varias casas y un hotel en las cercanías.

Una paradisíaca playa conocida por su abundante nudismo. Tiene un extenso arenal de 85 metros con vegetación moderada. Llegar es sumamente sencillo ya que tiene acceso por la carretera y queda a un par de kilometros de Sant Ferran. La playa está rodeada de hermosos acantilados, haciendo que el mar sea cálido, tranquilo y poco profundo.

Un espacio pequeño a íntimo, una de las playas de Formentera que menos masificadas está, y ese es parte de su atractivo precisamente: 50 metros de arenal suave y delicioso en un ambiente solitario y relajante, con un mar cristalino y de olas moderadas.
En los alrededores del arenal puedes encontrar un restaurante de pescado y mariscos con una hermosa vista, cobertizos de pescadores y un bosque ideal para largas caminatas.

Una de las playas mejor acomodadas de la zona. En su zona urbana puede encontrar tiendas, restaurantes, locales nocturnos, hoteles y posadas; todos los servicios incluidos. Una de las playas más activas y movidas de Formentera.

Las playas de Formentera tienen una amplia y satisfactoria oferta para los viajeros con espíritu aventurero y con ganas de explorar profundamente las zonas que visitan.
Además, en los meses de marzo y abril contamos con proyecciones de las películas nominadas a los premios Oscar en distintas categorías.
Puede ponerse al día con lo mejor de la cartelera cinematográfica con Whiplash, Siempre Alice, El libro de la vida, el Francotirador, y Foxcatcher. La asistencia es gratuita los viernes y los domingos en la Sala de Cultura de Formentera y hay cine infantil los sábados.
Además cuenta con distintas actividades y talleres culturales como cursos y exposiciones de fotografía, jornadas de actividades de distintas causas benéficas, lecturas de poesía, cine y talleres infantiles.

Los niños a partir de 4 años puedes asistir al Taller infantil de Medio Ambiente de la Biblioteca Mrià Villagòmez (Children Workshop Environment) el 25 de marzo, a las 17.30 horas. Puede revisar la agenda de actividades en Formentera detallada.
En cuanto a talleres ecológicos puede encontrar cursos de control biológico de plagas, y otros talleres biológicos y de energía sustentable.
